Hake is a great alternative to Cod or Haddock, it is becoming more and more popular within Restaurants and Fish & Chip Shops.

It has a flaky texture and is great Filleted or Steaked.

The Cornish Hake fishery is extremely sustainable, and is MSC Certified. Hake is mainly landed in Newlyn, as it is a deep water fish caught in the South Western approaches.
